Posted by on January 23, 2013

News published in a news paper regarding Supreme Court’s decision stating that the UGC’s decision to increase the cut-off marks by 15% for clearing the national eligibility test (NET) had been scrapped” was not correct.

We were having lots of enquiries daily regarding this news and we made students convinced that UGC had not published any official information regarding this so don’t trust on this news.

Now the news paper Times of India has published a clarification that this news was incorrect due to mistake in collection of information.

CLARIFICATION OF TIMES OF INDIA

“The news report, ‘SC relief to NET candidates’, which was published on page 3 of The Times of India, Pune edition, on December 24, 2012, and said that the UGC’s decision to increase the cut-off marks by 15% for clearing the national eligibility test (NET) had been scrapped, is incorrect. There was a mistake while collating the information. We apologise for the error.”
